MODERNIZED ROUNDS WITH ANTI-TANK GUIDED MISSILE 9Ì117M

Rounds 3UBK10M, 3UBK10M-1, 3UBK10M-2, 3UBK10M-3 (Russian designation 3ÓÁÊ10M, 3ÓÁÊ10M-1, 3ÓÁÊ10M-2, 3ÓÁÊ10M-3) are designed to destroy armoured vehicles including those equipped with explosive reactive armour, small-size targets (pillbox, dugout, etc.).
Structurally the rounds are comprised of missile 9Ì117Ì unified for all modifications of rounds with a tandem hollow-charge warhead and the case with an ejection charge inside, that serves to impart the initial velocity for the missile. The missile is launched (fired) from the barrel.
When in flight the missile is controlled (guided onto target) directly from the fighting compartment or the firing site by a laser beam rider of the guidance equipment.
The control system is semiautomatic. The operator (gunner)'s mission is to keep the target in the cross-hairs and the missile therewith flights automatically in the laser beam guidance field. |
